SYMPOSIUM DESCRIPTION
This one-day symposium on PLANA therapy for patients with cleft lip and palate will provide essential knowledge and skills to cleft team members for establishing PLANA therapy protocols in their clinical practice. The course will cover prenatal consultation, feeding techniques, patient selection, application of LipAlign lip tape and NoseAlign devices, clinical management, caregiver instructions, and modification of surgical approaches to benefit from PLANA. The symposium includes both lecture formats and demonstrations of lip tapes and the NoseAlign device application. Participants will become knowledgeable and capable of offering PLANA therapy to their patients with clefts.

SYMPOSIUM GOAL AND OBJECTIVES
After the symposium, participants will:
1. Understand the benefits of PLANA therapy and evaluate infants with clefts for PLANA therapy.
2. Learn the application and management technique of the LipAlign lip tape (Cleft Lip approximation lip tape).
3. Learn the application and management technique of the NoseAlign device (Cleft Nose approximation device).
4. Learn how to control the vector of the supporting medical adhesive tapes and orthodontic elastics for infants with unilateral cleft.
5. Learn how to control the vertical position of the premaxilla during retraction for infants with bilateral cleft.
6 Learn how the combined effect of NoseAlign and LipAlign is used to achieve the approximation of the lip, nose, and alveolar segments.
7. Manage infants undergoing PLANA therapy.
8. Teach families how to perform home care during PLANA therapy.
9. Be able to provide feeding techniques to caregivers during PLANA therapy.
10. Monitor progress with PLANA therapy.
11. Learn tips for achieving better compliance with PLANA therapy.
12. Understand the end point of PLANA therapy before primary reconstruction surgery.
13. Understand the modification of surgical treatment to utilize the benefits of PLANA therapy.
14. Learn how to incorporate PLANA therapy into your Cleft Team's practice.
15. Learn strategies to reduce the burden of care and improve patient outcomes.
16. Learn reimbursement options for PLANA therapy.

Payment Information
Registration fees include breakfast, lunch, and coffee breaks during the symposium. The registration fee does not include evening meals or hotel accommodation. REFUND AND CANCELLATION POLICY
Cancellations must be made in writing. Full refunds will be granted up to October 15th, 2024. Due to program demand and the amount of pre-program preparation, cancellations received after October 15th, 2024, and “no-shows” are subject to full payment.
